Dyezabelle Ydahlia Rain

Our little, big girl...

Dezi has grown up so fast before my eyes. She's only 4, but going on 21. She is such the helper. You can have an adult converstation with her. I am so surprised on how much she knows and understands.
She helps Sydney alot. When we go shopping, Dezi will want to hold Sydney's hand while Sydney is using her walking can in the other. She'll say excuse me when they are walking and she makes sure that Sydney doesn't bump into anything or anyone.
When people stare or make comments outloud. Dezi will tell them that her sister can't see and to be nice. She will defend her sister as well. It was so cute because one time, Sydney was walking down the stairs and Dezi was pulling her to try and rush her. I told her to slow down because Sydney can't see the stairs. Dezi said, "Okay Mommy, hold on to Sydney." She ran down to the bottom of the stairs and turned the light on. I told her, "No baby, Sydney can't see at all." She looked at me with her big brown eyes and said, "Mommy, am I Sydney's eyes." I wanted to cry and told her that we are all Sydney's eyes. She just left it at that. It was so cute.
She loves to help in the kitchen. When I'm cooking I'll let her cut some of the vegetables with a plastic knife. When we bake a cake or cookies, she'll do most of the work. I basically just help guide her. She enjoys cooking. She be so proud in accomplishing and doing big girl things as she would say.
She loves to help grandma outside when grandma is gardening. Dezi will help pull out the weeds and move the rocks and dirt around and help water the plants with her toy pitcher.
One day she asked her grandma to give her something to do. Her grandma asked her, what do you want to do. Dezi said that she wanted to help clean the house.
Dezi would help transfering the clothes from the laundry machine to the dryer and she would put soap into the dishwasher and turn it on. When we lock up at night, she would always close the blinds and help check all the windows and doors and make sure that they wo

Our girls are doing well.
They are excited that their daddy is coming home soon.

Sydney is getting to be such a big girl. She's getting taller, pretty soon they say that she'll be taller than me. I don't doubt that. Sydney turned 7 this past January 31st. She's learning more and more things at school. She still isn't quite talking yet, but she understands pretty much everything that you tell her and say to her. She is also getting to be so independent in what she does. She's manuvering her walking cane pretty well, but she still wants to hold someones hand. No new news on her eyesight. Basically waiting. She's soon due for another re-fitting of her prosthetics. As she grows, they need to refit her eyes to maintain her eye structure and socket.
Everytime the phone rings, Sydney gets so excited. She tries grabbing for the phone to see who's calling. If you catch her in the right mood, she will try her best to talk to you. " So cute ".
If it's not her daddy, then she'll give the phone back. Sometimes Dezi and her start fighting for the phone just to talk to there daddy.

Greetings...

Hi Everyone,
My brother-in-law introduced me to this website. I thought it would be pretty neat to send this to you guys. I usally make up a Newsletter every month, or at least I try to make up a Newsletter every month and mail it out to friends and family. This is just to let you know how we are doing and what we are up too at the moment. Unfortunately, Stamps are getting expensive and some of you, I don't even have your mailing addresses. I figured that this would be simpler. Also, just some random thoughts I had and what your thoughts were. Feedback would be nice. Hope you enjoy. I will try and update things every month.
Thanks, glasel
